Morning Departure from Accra
We begin with a smooth ride out of Accra and into the green hills of the Eastern Region. The journey itself is scenic — rolling landscapes, fresh air, and glimpses of local life outside the capital.
Cocoa – From Bean to Cultivation
Step into the story of Ghana’s most famous crop – cocoa.
Walk through the farm where cocoa was first planted in 1879, sparking a billion-dollar industry.
Experience a cocoa pod cutting demo & tasting (subject to season).
Nature's Waterfalls
A gentle 10-minute walk takes us through a shady forest path where birds chirp and the air cools.
Then, the soft roar of the waterfall welcomes us. This quiet waterfall is a peaceful space to breathe and reconnect with nature.
Time to relax or dip your feet at the base of the waterfall. Light swims are also permitted.
Botanical Gardens & Medicinal Plants Tour
Arrive at the legendary Aburi Botanical Gardens, established in 1890 and filled with century-old trees, flowering walkways, and healing plants. This is your time to slow down, breathe deeply, and take it all in.
We’ll go on a guided walk through medicinal plant trails, where you will discover herbal uses and local traditions
Explore the exotic trees, the iconic royal palms, and natural sculptures. Great photo opportunity!

Enjoy lunch in the Gardens. Choose from Ghanaian and light continental meals.

A travel visa is required to enter Ghana. The application for visa issuance can be conducted through the the nearest Ghana Embassy or Ghana Consulate in your country of residence.
Type of Visas
We recommend applying for a Multiple Entry visa, to enable you to visit Ghana again in the future using the same visa, however a Single Entry visa is also acceptable if needed to save on costs.
Visa on Arrival
- There are certain Nationalities who are exempt from travel visa requirements, and are able to obtain a visa on arrival upon entering Ghana. To check the current list of countries, please read this resource.
- For non-exempt Nationalities, Visa on arrival is also an option, however an approval letter needs to be issued prior to travel. If you are unable to obtain a travel visa through your local Ghana Embassy, please request your visa on arrival approval here.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 48 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 48 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date.
Cancel for any reason travel insurance is highly recommended for protection of funds in the event of illness, emergencies, weather, pandemics, or other unforeseen travel changes.
