Day 1: Arrival to Ghana

Akwaaba, Welcome to Ghana! After landing at the Kotoka International Airport, your driver will transport you to your lodging in Accra where you will relax and unwind.

In the evening, we will have a proper Ghanaian welcome with a night out in town.

Day 2: Accra City Tour

Indulge in Ghana’s history and some shopping as we explore the streets of Accra. Travel to the W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan African Culture to learn of the Pan African influence throughout the Diaspora.

Day 3: Aburi Botanical Gardens

Today we will take a scenic drive to the Eastern Region of Ghana to visit Aburi. Take in the mountain views, lush green forests, and cooler weather. We spend some time at the Botanical Gardens, before exploring the town and residential areas nearby.

Day 4: Ancestral Pilgrimage

We will depart for Cape Coast. On the way, we will stop at the Assin Manso Ancestral river, where our ancestors took their last bath before being taken to the slave dungeons.

At the Cape Coast Dungeons, we will bear witness to the conditions our ancestors were held as captives prior to their brutal voyage into the diaspora.

Day 5: Kakum National Park

Today we will continue our voyage throughout Cape Coast and head to a canopy walkway in the middle of a forest. Brace yourself as you walk 100 feet in the air at Kakum National Park.

Afterwards we will visit some land sites in the Central Region on our way back to Accra.

Day 6: Moving to Ghana Workshop
